Loved the location of the lodge within the national park. Our room was modern and clean, with a spa bath and view from the deck. We had a very enjoyable stay, the staff were helpful and friendly.
The setting was great and a beautiful building and surrounds. Having a glass of wine on the deck close to sunset was stunning.
In general the staff were great. We stayed for two nights but separated by a couple of days while we walked the 3 day circuit. We could not fault the first stay. Restaurant meal was lovely. The second stay was marred by a couple of small instances. The first was the arrival of about 20 people who took over the main deck, complete with their esky of champagne and cd player. It appeared to be a memorial service of some kind, people crying and the 'Circle of Life' playing. Other guests on the deck looked uncomfortable. Apparently the hotel were unaware that this was going on and not sanctioned by them. The second instance was with the bistro. They have several menus during the day with cut off times. We asked if they would serve us an antipasto plate 6 minutes after the cut off time and were told very emphatically-NO. I asked if there was something similar on the dinner menu that we could purchase, again no. The bar was unable to serve us anything (only drinks) and so we went into town for dinner.Prices for the dinner menu in the bistro were similar to the restaurant. A more casual, cheaper menu would work better in the bistro. A main of fish was still about $29 and then you would need to add sides to that as well.
Staf were excellent - friendly, efficient and helpful
Wish there was more equipment - kyaks, snorkeling etc.
Friendly staff, professional and a well set out lodge. The room was amazing. No tv is a fantastic option in the rooms, takes away all distractions!
We enjoyed freycinet lodge for it's location
friendly, helpful staff beautiful and comfortable accomodations great location
we had a fantastic stay and were upgraded to a premium spa cabin which was fabulous for our holiday feeling. the wildlife come very close (up to our screen door) to say hello and are very cute, possum's mainly. I would go back and spend longer than 2 days as a place to relax and unwind - great food, location, surroundings and as we were upgraded, faciltiies!
Natural surrounds , tasteful cabins , staff extremely friendly & helpful
No television or movies in rooms , which would be a normal expectation for a resort of this standard. I know this might be in line with your philosophy but we don't think it interferes with relaxation in the evening. Guest can choose whether to view or not.
The location. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The cabins were very clean.
I booked thinking we were getting a cabin with a water view. For $550 a night it was over priced.
On our arrival to Freycinet Lodge we were fortunate enough to be offered an upgrade to a Spa Suite which we gladly accepted and thoroughly enjoyed. The room was magnificent with every comfort provided. The spa was comfortable and the view from our private balcony special. The amenities at the Lodge made our stay even more enjoyable; the fireside bar and lounge made the cold disappear very quickly and the staff from the reception - to the restaurant - and the room staff were very friendly and approachable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Freycinet Lodge, we loved the Spa Suite and when we next visit Tasmania we will definitely be putting time aside to enjoy another stay at the Freycinet Lodge. Thankyou.
Quiet, surrounded by national Park ,excellent food creating a different experience.
The location, the beautiful room and the family friendly environment.
Price of the food int the bistro. Very expensive.
Beautifully located in the national park. Deluxe cabins was spacious, warm and with a good bathroom and outside deck. Good quality tea andf plunger coffee provided. Choclate bunny and easter eggs a nice touch on the bed for Easter check-in. Min lodge area is warm and comfortable with great views over onto Coles bay.
Would be nice if they would consider offering yoga or a fitness centre. Such a nice setting for getting healthy!
Restaurant Meals. Views from main lodge. Access to National Park and surrounds.
Room location - no view. Room rate, package expensive and mini bar prices were ridiculous.
Good location and the chalet style accommodation was comfortable and provided a good level of privacy
Breakfast was included but the hot food had been kept warm so long the taste and texture was deteriorating
